LONDON, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- The London market went down in early trade on Monday, giving up some of the record 8.8 percent rise seen on the weekend.
After rising in the first few minutes of trade, the FTSE 100 fell back, and by 0900 BST the index was down 24.97 points at 5,286.33, or 0.47 percent lower.
London Stock Exchange Group itself turned out to be the leader of the down stream, losing 60.50 pence, or 6.67 percent.
Wolseley, the leading supplier of construction products, materials and services, went up 4.17 percent, and mining stocks like Eurasian Natural Resources and Kazakhmys were up respectively by 3.7 percent and 3.17 percent.
